News from Florida Regional Center:

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently provided EB-5 statistics on EB-5 Investments, including information on service-wide receipts, approvals and denials of I-526 Immigrant Petitions and the number of approved EB-5 Regional Centers. As was expected, the statistics revealed an increase across the board in all EB-5-related filings. Included within the category of EB-5 filings are I-526, EB-5 Immigrant Investor Petitions, and I-829, Petitions to Remove Conditions. These requests have continued to rise since the 1990 inception of the EB-5 Visa program, via the Immigration Act of 1990.

As part of a plan to stimulate the US economy through job creation and capital investment, Congress opened up a program that allowed 10,000 EB-5 immigrant visas per year. Of those 10,000, a total of 3,000 EB-5 visas are set aside for investors in Regional Centers, such as Florida Regional Center and US Immigration Fund Companies.

Statistics reported by the USCIS are as follows:

– 92% of all EB-5 applications submitted to USCIS are requests from investors who are investing in Regional Center affiliated – commercial enterprises

– During the fiscal year 2011, USCIS receipted 3,805 I-526 petitions

– During the first half of 2012, USCIS has receipted 2,771 Form I-526 petitions

– USCIS denied 58% of I-924’s (Application for Regional Center under the Immigrant Investor Pilot Program) in 2011

– USCIS denied 15% of I-526 Immigration Petitions in 2012

– USCIS denied only 4% of I-829 filings in 2011 & 2012

As the rise in Eb-5 Visa applications increases, the competition for approval will also strengthen. It is imperative to obtain the services of a competent and respected Regional Center if you are interested in pursuing an EB-5 Visa.

Florida Regional Center was established as an agent of the 1990 Congress-approved EB-5 Regional Center Program. Based in Palm Beach Gardens and representing projects in the greater South Florida area, Florida Regional Center works with foreign investors and their families to obtain EB-5 Visas and permanent residency in exchange for investments in community development and economy boosting campaigns. Aside from the Harbourside Place project, Florida Regional Center is involved, or in the process of creating, in the Water Pointe Project, ESI Jupiter Technology Park Project and the Tequesta Village Center project – all of which will include EB-5 investors and community redevelopment programs.
