701 Seventh Avenue is a U.S. Immigration Fund Project
Construction has topped out on the 42-story, 452-key EDITION hotel at 701 Seventh Avenue, located at the corner of West 47th Street at Times Square. Progress on the structure can be seen thanks to photos posted to the YIMBY Forums. The latest building permits indicate the tower encompasses 368,398 square feet and rises 517 feet to its rooftop.

Hotel rooms will be located across the the 14th through 40th floors. Retail and theater space will occupy the ground through fourth floors, as well as two cellar levels. The hotel’s amenities will be on the seventh through 12th floors. There will also be a 18,000-square-foot LED sign fastened to the base.
Witkoff, Ian Schrager Company, Winthrop Realty Trust, and Maefield Development all have development roles. Platt Byard Dovell White Architects is responsible for the architecture. EDITION hotels are a brand of Marriott International. Completion is expected later this year.
