New York Open Returning To Nassau Coliseum
Individual tickets for the second annual New York Open, an ATP World Tour 250 tournament, go on sale Friday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. for all sessions at the Nassau Coliseum. Fans who purchase by Monday, Sept. 10 will receive a special 25 percent early bird discount. The tournament will launch with the New York Tennis Expo on Saturday, Feb. 9 beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Exhibition Hall of Nassau Coliseum. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, NewYorkOpen.com and NYCBLIVE.com, or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Ticketmaster Box Office at the Coliseum beginning Monday, Aug. 20 at noon. Individual ticket prices start at $15 for the main draw during the early bird period. The 2019 New York Open is set to feature Kevin Anderson, Sam Querrey, and Bob and Mike Bryan once again. More information on player commitments and tournament details will be announced in the coming months. Previous champions include legends Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, John McEnroe, Andy Roddick, Milos Raonic, Kei Nishikori, Ryan Harrison, and most recently, Kevin Anderson. “GF Sports and BSE Global are ready to bring the black courts back to New York and NYCB LIVE for the 2019 New York Open with the goal of making it bigger and better,” said Tournament Director and GF Sports Executive Vice President Josh Ripple. “We already have the commitment of the world’s No. 5 ranked Wimbledon Finalist, and our defending champion, Kevin Anderson. With further advanced nods from our ’18 finalist Sam Querrey, and current Wimbledon doubles champion Mike Bryan as well as his brother Bob Bryan, we are confident that we will have an exceptional player product for the New York fans.” The New York Tennis Expo on Febr. 9 is a free lead-in event to the New York Open, where attendees will have a first-hand look at the matchups, and even take part in selecting the players’ names. There will be professional players on hand to sign autographs, and a viewing area where fans can to watch them practice. Face painting, balloon animals and a bouncy house will be located in the Kids Zone and Activity Zone.
