He shoots, he scores!
Italian soccer star Marco Borriello is in contract to buy a $7 million unit at 125 Greenwich St. — a luxury 88-story condo in the Financial District.
The 36-year-old striker plays for UD Ibiza in Spain and was previously with Italian club AC Milan, among others. The 2,000-square-foot pad he’s committed to is on the 80th floor, with three bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms and a mod kitchen.
The building, located just south of the World Trade Center, is designed by architect Rafael Viñoly. (He is also the design mind behind Midtown’s high-gloss 432 Park Ave., the tallest residential building in the western hemisphere.)
British superyacht designers Elliot March and James White, of March & White, handled the interiors at 125 Greenwich.
Building amenities include a 15,000-square-foot private club, called The 88, which takes up the building’s top three floors.
It features a 50-foot lap pool on the 87th floor with panoramic views of the city.
There’s also a gym, a spa with sauna, steam, massage and treatment rooms, a salon offering hair and nail services; a screening room and a private dining room with a fireplace and catering kitchen. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling sales for the building, developed by Bizzi & Partners.
Closings are slated to begin later this year.
