JUPITER, FL. — June 21st, 2011 — Moss & Associates has been awarded an initial contract in the mega complex known as Harbourside Place to construct an extension of the Riverwalk at Harbourside, in the Town of Jupiter. The initial contract was awarded by the Northern Riverwalk Community Development District. The project, located at Indiantown Road and U.S.1, includes a 1,100-foot pedestrian promenade along the Intracoastal Waterway as well as a new seawall and public dock system.

The new design-build seawall composed of a cold-formed cantilevered sheet pile design by Coastal Systems International, Inc and cast-in-place bulkhead system will also span approximately 1,100 +/- linear feet. Included is an adjacent public dock area with 209 linear feet of marginal dock with nine public boat slips for a total of 1,164 square feet.

“The development is certainly going to be a regional destination for Jupiter’s residents and tourists alike” said Nick Mastroianni, Developer of the Harbourside Place. Phase one will be to build the Riverwalk, which includes installing benches, shade structures, and decorative lighting. It’s going to be a beautiful public amenity where people will be able to come and enjoy the Intracoastal Waterway. “We are excited to be a part of this transformational project in the Town of Jupiter” said Scott Moss, President Moss & Associates.

Groundbreaking for the Riverwalk at Harbourside Place Jupiter and the adjacent $144 million mix-use development of Harbourside Place will take place June 28. Moss will begin construction of the Riverwalk component on July 1. The initial project is slated for completion by March 2012, and the overall mega development is slated for completion October 2013. Moss will work with the developer of the project, Allied Capital and Development of South Florida LLC, as well as local landscape architects Gentile Holloway O’Mahoney & Associates on the project.
