AREA15, a groundbreaking district for immersive entertainment and events, enthusiastically announces the addition of Jillian Austin as its director of brand partnerships and Michael Uriarte as the director of event sponsorships.
Jillian Austin, a seasoned professional with over 15 years in the industry, is set to lead the charge in forging impactful collaborations and partnerships with various brands, aiming to deliver unparalleled experiences for diverse audiences. Her role involves leveraging a brand’s intellectual property to seamlessly blend into both the physical and digital realms of AREA15. This unique destination offers an array of extraordinary opportunities for brands to create engaging experiences such as interactive installations, immersive exhibits, product showcases, and more.
Austin’s expertise lies in her ability to blend creative insights with strategic planning, making her an invaluable asset in developing partnerships that revolutionize typical brand interactions. Her career includes significant positions such as director of business development, brand marketing & strategic partnerships at Jill of All Trades Consulting, head of brand sponsorships and event activations at the International African American Museum, national director of strategic partnerships at Modivcare, and various leadership roles at Lyft.
Austin is a Grand Valley State University alumnus, holding a bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies.

His goal is to harness the distinctive events and programs at AREA15, creating connections with brands looking for dynamic event exposure. Uriarte’s strategic approach will be instrumental in securing sponsorships that resonate with AREA15’s unique ethos and enrich its event lineup.
Uriarte’s background includes roles as a realtor with Forever Home Realty and as a self-employed agent, along with being the co-founder and CEO of Collective Zoo, where he managed venue partnerships, event budgets and forecasting, and event concept development.
A proud native of Las Vegas, Uriarte completed his bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
